Cape Town

The heart of the Western Cape is without doubt the city of Cape Town.
Cape Town has a distinct flavor of its own, affected in no small part by the cultural melting pot of Indonesian, French, Dutch, British and German settlers who each indelibly stamped their mark upon the foundations of the city. Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, surrounded by the table mountain, the wine country and the Atlantic ocean with beautiful beaches. Cape Town has the nickname 'mother city' because Cape Town is the first metropolis of South Africa.

Day 1:
Upon arrival at Cape Town airport you will be welcomed by our partner. Tarnsfer to your hotel or Guesthouse. Relax at the pool or visit Waterfront (depend of arrival time) and in the evening having dinner in the guesthouse.

Day 2: Visit Kirstenbosch gardens and the famous Table Mountain, no visit to Cape Town would be complete without a cable car ride to the top of the Table mountain. In case of bad or windy weather, shopping in more than 50 shops at Waterfront.

Day 3: CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

Today we are going to the most beautiful seaside scenic route Sea Point along the coast to Hout Bay, Clifton Bay and Twelve Apostles mountain range. We take Chapmans Peak drive over to Simonstown. Visit Boulders Penguins near Cape Point and finally the popular Cape of Good Hope.

Day 4: Robben Island Ferry cruise to Robben island and shopping day in Cape town. During the apartheid years Robben Island was used to isolate opponents of apartheid and to crush their moral. Freedom fighters, like Nelson Mandela, spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs. The three and a half hour tour includes a return trip across Table Bay, a visit to the Maximum Security Prison and museum.

Ferry cruise to Robben island is included.

Day 5 & 6: WINELANDS

Today we will depart for the beautiful Cape Winelands areas of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek situated within the heart of South Africa’s wine industry. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy wine tasting at famous award winning wine estates.

Day 7: Scenic Route 62 in Kleine Karoo - Oudtshoorn

After breakfast we are driving from Cape Town through Roberston with beautiful wine farms,  Montagu, Ladismith and Calitzdorp on the scenic Route 62 through the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn.

Day 8: Swartberg pass - Meiringspoort in Klein Karoo

Driving from Oudsthoorn through the magnificent Swartberg mountain pass to Prince Albert, then on to De Rust, a quaint Klein Karoo village and through the beautiful sandstone Meiringspoort. The road through the poort is a remarkable and the overwhelming features of a drive through Meiringspoort are the wonders of nature.
The Table Mountain sandstone strata tower above the road and is constantly changing colours as you move through sunlight and shade.

Overnight days 7 - 8 in a 4**** Guesthouse in Oudtshoorn B+B

Day 9: CANGO Wildlife Ranch & Ostrich farm

Oudtshoorn is situated in the Klein Karoo. This town with its wide open spaces and broad streets is the capital of the Klein Karoo.
Here is ideal breeding ground for the most majestic of flightless birds the Ostrich. After breakfast visiting an Ostrich farm and in afternoon taking the tour in Cango Wildlife Ranch where you can observe cheetahs, lions, jaguars, pumas and white Bengal tigers.

Day 10: KNYSNA

Knysna is one of the Garden Route’s best known travel destinations situated between lush forests and the shores of the Indian Ocean. Today, Knysna is one of the biggest tourist attractions in South Africa. One of the most exciting things to do in Knysna is a Knysna Lagoon, which is a must for young and old. Visit an Oyster farm and enjoy a romantic supper at Waterfront.

Day 11: TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK

The Tsitsikamma National Park in the Garden Route is beautifully situated on the shores of the Indian Ocean. The rocky shores, temperate forests and high Fynbos rolling down to the sea in a pristine green carpet is the hallmark of this national park.

Overnight days 11 in a chalet at the Indian Ocean B+B

Day 12 & 13 : ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK

These two days mean enjoying the safari experience. Now the third largest national park in South Africa, Addo is sanctuary to over 550 elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard, a variety of antelope and zebra species, as well as the unique Addo flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.

Day 14: GARDEN ROUTE – Herolds Bay

Today, after breakfast, we will go back towards Cape Town to the smallest and most hidden beautiful bays on the Garden Route. The last night you will be staying right on the edge of the Indian Ocean, overlooking the beautiful beach cove and rocky coastline of Herolds Bay.

Day 15: GARDEN ROUTE - Airport Cape town

We depart on a leisurely drive to Cape Town International Airport for your return flight.
